Michael Bondy for Mayor
With 16 years of dedicated service on Chatham-Kent Council, I am committed to fiscal responsibility and your taxpayer priorities. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous future for our community.
Michael is a family man, having been married for 30 years and raising five children. He brings a unique blend of academic insight and "main street" experience to his bid for Mayor. A graduate of Western University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Michael has a deep-rooted understanding of the mechanics of governance and policy. He complemented this academic background with over two decades of hands-on experience as a small business owner, successfully operating Bondy’s Dry Cleaners from 1999 to 2020. This combination of political expertise and the practical, day-to-day discipline of meeting a payroll and managing a budget has shaped his reputation as a pragmatic, fiscally responsible leader who understands both the Council chambers and the challenges facing local taxpayers.
